Please bear with me. I’ll be back.

What’s news with horror writer Paul D. Dail?

Well, I haven’t died in case you were wondering.

Nor have I abandoned my blog.  I think about it quite regularly actually and keep a tab open on my browser all the time to remind myself that I need to do something here.

You should see how many tabs I have open all the time as reminders.

I do have some great ideas for blog posts, but I got sidetracked a few months ago as I was upgrading my teaching license.  Then summer hit and I remembered that I was also writing another novel.  And I’ve started some part-time freelance writing this month.  And I try to remember that I also have a family who generally enjoys having me around.

So if you haven’t unsubscribed, don’t do it yet.  I think I’ll have some things you’ll enjoy reading in the near future.  I just need to get my feet back under me first.

Until then, hope you’re all enjoying your summer.

  1. My summer schedule’s been wacky, too. Always is. Can’t seem to get near as much done. I take that back. This is the busiest time of the year, but it’s mostly family/garden/camping/outside stuff. Just not writing. Live up the rest of your summer, Paul. 🙂

    1. Yeah, Michelle, it’s funny. I’m not sure how I get anything done during the school year 🙂 Writing has actually been good, but a few other things are suffering (like the garden). We are getting some good outside time, but I think we’ll be waiting on camping for at least another year considering the age of the kiddos.

Anyway, hope all is going well. Enjoy your summer as well.

  2. Life happens! My blog has been pretty nonexistent for quite some time too.

    1. Now that you mention it, Erik, I hadn’t seen any new posts from you either in awhile. I just haven’t had the time to include the blog in priorities, even though I enjoy doing it. I hope your writing is going well. I’ll keep my eyes open.

  3. Welcome back…sort of. 🙂 We’ve missed you buddy.

    1. Thanks, Hunter. Good to know I’m missed. Hope everything is going well for you. Seems like you’ve been busy with your writing. That’s great. Look forward to getting back in better touch soon.

  4. Well, if it isn’t Paul D. Dail. Always glad to hear you haven’t joined us in the great beyond quite yet. 😉

    1. Hey Eva, thanks for stopping by for just this brief post. Good to hear from you. So what are we at, 100 days or so until Halloween? Hope all is going well in preparation.

  5. No worries, Paul! I kind of disappear a bit now and again as well. Just glad to hear that everything is okay. The part I’m enjoying about summer is the part where it’s almost over. It’s my least favorite season. I will be happier the colder it gets. On the other hand, I suppose I should add that our winters are mild here in central California. 🙂
Take care, my friend. We’ll see you when you check back in.

    1. Thanks, Jimmy. Sorry it’s taken me awhile to get back. I’m actually getting ready to finally put up a real post, I think. Maybe. We’ll see 🙂

I’m a little envious of your mild winters. Nothing really mild about our winters, unless it just happens to be a mild year. I love summer because it’s vacation from teaching and time to spend with the kiddos. Fall is beautiful but it’s my worst time for allergies (which I seem to recall plague you as well). So here’s to both of us making it at least into November.

Hope things are going well for you. Seems like I’ve seen some good buzz recently with your writing. Glad to hear it, my friend.
