UPCOMING REVIEW! Viking Motorcycle Saddlebags

As many of you know, I have a 2004 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic as my main two-wheeled ride. I’ve taken it on numerous trips around the Southwest, including a recent trip over the renowned state Route 12 in southern Utah. Unfortunately, since my stock saddlebags fell apart a couple years ago, I’ve felt unprepared to go much longer than a couple days, especially if my wife is coming along.

The best I could find on the H-D website for my 2004 was a set of bags offering a little over 22 liters of total storage (compared to the approximate 34 liters of my stock bags). After trying a couple different sets of bags, I went looking for something that has the capacity (and quality) my cruiser calls for, and I found Viking’s 44L Lamellar Stallion Extra Large Leather Covered Motorcycle Hard Saddlebags.

To say that I can’t wait to see these bags adding a sharp, clean (and spacious) touch to my bike is an understatement. And I also am looking forward to seeing exactly how much I can cram inside them.

And then taking the bike on the road.

Watch for an upcoming review on Rider magazine of the Viking bags soon.

More information on these and other Viking bags can be found here.
